Departing from the meeting point, we start a one-hour journey towards Viana do Castelo, capital of Alto Minho and guardian of the
"Heart of Viana". Upon arrival, we will visit the historical centre and get to know the cultural, ethnographic and gastronomic heritage
of the people of Viana do Castelo. Free time will be given to enjoy the wonders of this city. Then we leave towards the Santa Luzia hill
- to enjoy one of the best panoramic views in the world, adorned by the Lima river, the city, the sea and the famous Diocesan
Sanctuary of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
We leave towards the oldest town in Portugal, Ponte de Lima, where we have lunch in a traditional cuisine restaurant in the historical
centre. After a full lunch, it is time to explore the wonders of this village, passing through the centre and Roman bridge over the lima
river, following one of the famous Portuguese roads to Santiago de Compostela and finishing with a Vinho Verde tasting.
Our journey will continue to Valença do Minho, one of the oldest Portuguese villages, where we will find the Fortress of Valença, the
most emblematic of its icons, built in the 17th century, 5,5 Km long, imposing its presence on top of a hill overlooking the river
Minho, Tui and Galicia. To visit the Fortress of Valença is to go through the memories of 2000 years of the most remarkable pages of
the historical adventures of Portugal and Spain. Inside you can enjoy a viewpoint to contemplate the Minho river and the Galician city of Tui which is located on the other bank. You will have free time to enjoy the beauties of this place.
