On this tour we travel along the Silver Coast, and the banks of the Mondego River. We start the journey towards Coimbra, city of the
Students, inspiration of singers of the music that shook a dictatorial regime and raised the April Revolution of 1974. Coimbra, full of
charm, where we find the first University of Portugal. Through streets full of stories and outlined by "Student Republics", we know the
most iconic monuments and we taste the flavours of the region.
With the poetry of Coimbra, we make our way towards Aveiro, city of light and youth, where we pause for lunch at a restaurant of
traditional cuisine. Our afternoon will start with a walk through the streets of the city, where you may observe the beautiful buildings in Art Nouveau style. A stop at a local pastry shop is mandatory to taste the typical sweet of the region (ovo mole). We continue on to the saltpans of Aveiro and afterwards you can enjoy a guided boat trip through the channels of the ria on a typical boat.
Inspired by memories of men linked to the sea (sailors and fishermen), we will head for Costa Nova, famous for its beaches and its
fishermen's houses, striped and multicoloured. Here we will contemplate the beautiful coast of white and very fine sand.
We return to Porto, with the certainty that we will return!
