We start our trip towards Braga, starting our tour at the Sameiro Sanctuary. Here you can enjoy a panoramic view over the city of Braga. After a short period of free time, we continue our tour towards one of the oldest
Sacred-Mountain and flagship of the Minho region - the Bom Jesus do Monte and its Basilica. We continue to the centre of the city of Braga, full of youth and tradition. Here we will visit the Cathedral of Braga, the oldest
cathedral in Portugal (11th century) and many other special places characteristic of this city. It will be here, that we will enjoy the flavours of Minho, during lunch, in a restaurant of traditional cuisine.
After some free time to contemplate the beauty of this place, we will continue towards the acclaimed cradle of Portugal - Guimarães. A visit to the Guimarães Castle (whose foundation dates back to the 10th century) and the Dukes of Bragança Palace (whose foundation dates back to the 15th century) is a must! From here we will walk through the old streets of the city, full of stories and legends, to discover the Historic Centre of Guimarães, a unique vestige of a type of conception of the city, due to the morphology of its medieval urban fabric and a type of building erected using traditional construction techniques. Setting off from Largo da Oliveira, you will have free time to explore the houses and the modus vivendis of Guimarães.
Inspired by the origin of our history, we return to Oporto.
